Customer needs, desires and wants focus on having a great and comfortable lodge including some good services and experiences.

 

Customer profiles:

  • Aged between 16 and 25 years old, student or worker, adventurous, risky, curious, and active, with big desire to have fun and have a good time having new experiences with a short lodge tourism needed.

 

  • Aged between 26 and 35 years old, mostly workers, adventurous, curious, with a desire to know new places and have a good time during the experience with an urban environment.   

 

  • Aged between 36 and 50 years old, worker or retired, adventurous, serious, and active, with a desire to know new places, adapting to new experiences and having some rest sometimes.

                                                                                                   

  • Aged with more than 50 years old, adventurous, serious, and reserved, with a desire to have some rest and know all possible places including a long lodge.

 

According to the survey and the analysis of customer information, we develop a matrix that shows what offer our hostel in terms of comfortable lodge, services and experiences.

Pricing

Prices have been chosen according to the consumer’s needs, price competition analysis and suppliers.

 

Prices per night, per person (1 day to 1 week):

  • Single room with private bathroom: $120.000

  • Double room with private bathroom (doubled bed): $90.000

  • Triple room with private bathroom: $50.000

  • Big room (4 to 6 lodgers) with private bathroom: $35.000

 

Prices per night, per person (more than 2 weeks) have 5% discount. 

Distribution

Cost benefits analysis

Distribution in our hostel focuses on attracting customers, promoting and facilitating the reservation and purchase of the lodge.

  • We have an online booking system on the website that help consumers to buy lodging in advance.    

  • We promote our hostel from other hostels in latin America, they promote our hostel in their country and we do the same in Colombia. We also have an agreement with travel agencies in Colombia, it helps to promote our hostel internationally and nationally.

  • We offer discount to people who recommend our hostel, we manage this information with a database.

  • We promote our hostels in webpages like “Booking.com”,  “Despegar.com” and “Mochileros.org” . We also offer discount coupons in webpages like “Linio.com” and “Groupon.com”.

  • We do merchandising in products such as shampoo, soap or towels. 

  • We promote our hostel in TV channels like "TLC"

The money that we are going to spend is around $3.000.000 and $4.000.000 COP, which is going to be used to buy the web page for our hostel, it’s a big amount of money but it will simplified task such as check in, check out, the number of guest that we have, and the ones that are leaving or arriving.  For publicity and to be recognize we will get a web page in each of the following: Facebook, Despegar and Mochileros. They are pages that are accessible for everyone in everywhere and the most important thing is that we don’t have to spend money, because they’re an affordable alternative to attract costumers.
